Thai yoga massage is not merely a physical practice but also encompasses being present and deeply listening through touch. Its philosophy transforms the experience into a vibrant journey. Both practitioner and recipient weave together a tapestry of personalized care, moving beyond rigid routines. Together, we create a space for a deeper connection to ourselves.

When I first encountered Thai Yoga Massage, it resonated with me as more than just a technique; it offered a comprehensive approach that emphasizes the body’s self-healing mechanisms. I began my training in 2021 with Nilüfer Çekin’s course, which aligned with this tradition and enriched the program with diverse perspectives. The following year, I assisted in her teaching programs and have continued collaborating with her since. I’ve learned from educators who blend various methodologies, integrating scientific and traditional approaches to Thai Yoga Massage. Participating in their trainings and workshops has broadened my perspective and equipped me to tailor massages to individual needs.

Recently, I have embarked on a Deep Tissue Massage training, adding a new dimension and practical approach to my massage journey. Thai Yoga Massage remains a core part of my work, complemented by various other techniques I've integrated over time.

Below, you can find a list of my experiences in this field:

Thai Yoga Massage Tradition

Thai yoga massage has a history of over 2,500 years, rooted in the ancient traditions of Ayurveda and yogic healing from India. It was brought to Thailand by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha, a physician and contemporary of the Buddha. The teachings passed down through generations have made this massage the intuitive healing art it is today.

Thai yoga massage is performed on a mat on the floor, with the recipient wearing comfortable clothing that allows for full motion. Using body weight, correct posture, and skilled hands, elbows, knees, and feet, this technique works deeply into the tissues. It applies rhythmic compressions to specific points and energy pathways, known as 'Sen lines,' combined with gentle rocking, deep stretching, and joint manipulation. This holistic approach targets various layers of the body, releasing blockages and restoring energy flow on all levels.

In addition to physical benefits, Thai yoga massage offers meditative qualities. Slow movements and focused breathing create deep relaxation and mindfulness, fostering a strong connection between body and mind. This integrative wellness approach makes Thai yoga massage a powerful tool for achieving overall health and harmony, enhancing flexibility and stimulating the body’s natural healing processes.
